MyPhoneExplorer Sync Hangs: A Step-by-Step Guide

Are you tired of manually launching MyPhoneExplorer every time you connect your phone? Do you want to automate the syncing process between your Outlook 2010 and Samsung Galaxy Note? Look no further! In this article, we'll walk you through a step-by-step guide on how to set up Task Scheduler and Windows Event Viewer to sync your phone automatically.

First things first, make sure you have MyPhoneExplorer installed and fully working with your phone. We're assuming you've already done this in the following instructions.

The goal is to get MyPhoneExplorer to load automatically when your phone is connected, perform an automatic multi-sync, and then close MPE. Sounds simple enough, right? It's more than we can be bothered doing each time, especially considering we have better things to do than manually launch MPE every time we connect our phone.

To start, open the Task Scheduler and navigate to the 'Startup' page. Untick the 'Start Multi-sync' option as we'll be setting this up from the command line later on. Also, untick 'Show splash screen' and tick 'Start Minimized' and 'Connect on Startup'. We're only interested in three pages: 'Startup', 'Sync', and 'Multi-sync'.

Next, navigate to the 'Connection' page and ensure that your phone is connected correctly. If it's already working, you shouldn't need to alter this page.

Now, let's move on to the 'Sync' page. Here, we'll use Advanced button next to each of these options to pick which address book and calendars to sync. Make sure that your Contacts, Calendar, and Notes are all set correctly to Outlook 2010.

Finally, navigate to the 'Multi-sync' page and ensure that it's set up correctly. You should now have MPE syncing with your phone when you load it manually and click 'Extras -> Start Multi-sync'.
